Performs responsible work ordering and purchasing automotive parts for a Hill Country Honda. This individual is responsible for maintaining a parts inventory and all pertinent records. Duties involve working with a number of service advisors, mechanics, and shop foremen. Work is performed under general supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities

Orders and purchases automotive parts; verify parts numbers from appropriate catalogs; prepares purchase requests.

Contact vendors for ordering parts.

Checks all incoming purchases against invoices; stocks supplies in appropriate bins.

Keeps a general inventory of parts in stock.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience in ordering automotive parts; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Considerable knowledge of automotive parts identification.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors.

Skill in maintaining the inventory of parts.
